Andrew Ng has just introduced Agentic Object Detection—a game-changing breakthrough in AI. Along with this, Google’s Gemini 2.0 is gaining attention, and we’re diving into the latest predictions that could shape the future of AI. But amidst all this technological advancement, I’m constantly reminded of the importance of the human side—building meaningful connections with our clients, understanding their challenges, and seeing firsthand how AI is transforming their businesses. Let’s dive in!
In Today’s AI Simplified:
Founder’s Insight: The power of Founder-Led Sales—why it’s the ultimate growth hack for early-stage startups.
AI News: Google launches Gemini 2.0, AI ‘godfather’ predicts the next big revolution, and Sam Altman on AI’s impact on small businesses.

Founder-Led Sales: The Dopamine Boost You Didn’t Know You Needed
Lately, I’ve been diving deep into Founder-Led Sales at 10Web. Instead of just watching from the sidelines, I personally respond to inbound leads, meet customers, do demos, and follow up.
And let me tell you—this is dopamine for founders.
Why? Because:
You feel the pulse of your market – No second-hand reports, no guesswork. Just raw, unfiltered insights from real users.
You sharpen your pitch – Selling your product 100+ times forces you to refine messaging, cut the fluff, and focus on what truly matters.
You spot game-changing opportunities – The best ideas for growth don’t come from brainstorming sessions; they come from direct customer conversations.
Too many founders hand off sales too early. But in the early stages, selling is learning. And learning is how you build something truly great.
If you’re a founder, don’t just lead your company—lead the sales. It will change everything.
Are you doing founder-led sales? Would love to hear your experiences!
Gemini 2.0, a suite of powerful models from Google, is now accessible to all users, marking a huge milestone for both developers and general users. After an initial experimental release in December, the updated 2.0 Flash version has now been rolled out across Google’s AI tools, including the Gemini app, Google AI Studio, and Vertex AI.
Key updates include:
2.0 Flash: Ideal for high-volume, high-frequency tasks, boasting a 1 million token context window, and now generally available for more users.
2.0 Pro: An experimental model focused on coding performance and complex prompts, featuring a vast 2 million token context window for improved reasoning and the ability to handle complex tasks.
2.0 Flash-Lite: A cost-efficient model, optimized for speed, cost, and quality, now available for public preview.
These models support multimodal input with text output, and more capabilities, including image generation and text-to-speech, will be coming soon.
Yann LeCun, one of the “godfathers” of AI and Chief AI Scientist at Meta, predicts another AI revolution by the end of the decade. He believes current systems are too limited to create domestic robots or fully autonomous cars.
LeCun, speaking after receiving the £500,000 Queen Elizabeth Prize for Engineering, emphasized that while AI excels at language manipulation, it struggles with understanding the physical world, a key challenge for tasks like autonomous driving or robotics.
He warned that systems must develop a deeper understanding of reality, and predicted that we may see another major breakthrough in AI in the next 3-5 years. LeCun aims to create systems capable of predicting how the world behaves, comparing success to achieving intelligence similar to a cat or rat.
Fellow AI pioneer Yoshua Bengio echoed the need for progress on AI safety and called for global action at the upcoming Paris summit.
OpenAI CEO Sam Altman has shared his thoughts on how AI can be a game-changer for small businesses but also warned that the benefits may not be equally distributed. To ensure that everyone has access to AI's potential, Altman suggests ideas like a "compute budget" to make AI tools more affordable for businesses of all sizes.
While AI is already reshaping the labor market, with automation affecting jobs, Altman emphasizes that small businesses could see huge advantages if proper policies and reskilling programs are implemented. AI has the potential to streamline operations, improve decision-making, and level the playing field, but only if businesses can access these tools without breaking the bank.
On the horizon is Artificial General Intelligence (AGI)—a more advanced form of AI capable of solving complex problems across industries. Altman notes that while AGI won’t be perfect, its large-scale use could drastically increase efficiency for businesses, potentially leading to significant cost savings and productivity boosts.
AI Expert's Take
Andrew Ng, 10Web’s investor, shares an exciting breakthrough in AI – Agentic Object Detection. The tool can identify objects in images based on simple text prompts like “unripe strawberries” or “Kellogg’s branded cereal,” without the need for labeled training data.
